Building Envelope is the combination of roofing, waterproofing, windows & doors, damp-proofing and flashing systems that act cohesively as a barrier, protecting interior areas from water and weather intrusion.

These systems that envelop a building from top to bottom, below grade to roof, must be interconnected to accommodate multiple factors (i.e. physics, chemistry, substrates and the environment) to perform watertight.

Often the waterproofing discipline has not been represented professionally in many construction projects.
